Local values-based investment firm Revalue underscores their dedication to Sustainable Responsible Impact (SRI) investing as CEO Angela Barbash receives the newly created Chartered SRI Counselor designation.

As investors increasingly turn their attention toward their investment portfolios and the impact they may or may not be having in the world, Angela Barbash, CEO of the Ypsilanti-based investment firm Revalue, has pushed herself into a select group of financial advisors designated as Chartered Sustainable Responsible Impact Investing Counselors (CSRIC).
One of only three in the State of Michigan, the CSRIC designation is a reinstatement of Barbash’s devotion to what Revalue refers to as the “triple bottom line”: invest in humanity, make the returns you need, and protect our planet. Focused on the greater picture rather than the stereotypical “bottom line” of “profit at all costs”, Revalue’s mission is to help its clients find a balance of profit and purpose — a key component of the values instilled within the newly created CSRIC designation.
“It was exciting to hear the announcement at the SRI Conference in November that the industry’s first professional designation had finally been created to raise the level of knowledge and technical ability of advisors across the sector,” said Barbash. “Our team has a voracious appetite for improvement, learning, and sharing that knowledge with others, so we knew right away that we wanted to pursue this new curriculum as soon as possible.”
